Charts are the worst kind of wake-up call

16th Dec 2008Diet

So … nothing like charting your weight gain to make you wanna eat carrots for the next two months.

I started tracking my weight loss on Gyminee.com in January when The Huntsville Times started its “Nine Pounds in Nine Weeks” campaign. I lost 15 pounds, but I have gained it back. Plus two.

I am determined to see that little green line slope downward again. And I would like to achieve that some other way than falsely reporting my weight to Gyminee. Good news is, I’ve been working out a little more in the past few days. Charlie and I temporarily abandoned P90X (see earlier posts) and have vowed to get in better shape so we can actually complete the grueling workout.

How awful is that? We’re in our 20s and need to get in better shape to workout. Never thought I would get here. But I’m fixing it. And you’re going to see some big changes in this nasty little widget! In the meantime, I think the chart needs to be renamed … I’m thinking along the lines of “My Body Weight Retrogression.”
