Anonymous letters are by far the best
Our Crimson-Tide hating anonymous reader has struck again.
Back in June, The Times received a postcard (if you can call a piece of a brown cardboard box a “postcard”) with a headline clipped from the newspaper, followed by a hilarious anti-Alabama rant written in Sharpie.
When our newsroom assistant rounded the corner with a stack of mail the other day and I spotted the brown, square piece of cardboard on top, I knew we had received another missive from our favorite anonymous writer.
To be fair, I can understand the point this person is trying to make. But it’s hard not to be delighted by the sheer passive aggressive nature of these notes.

We’ve got an avid Auburn fan in the office, so she catches the blame every time we get one of these postcards. We’re just teasing her, of course, but still … I could definitely see her doing something like this. (Sorry, Victoria!)
