Father is charged in boys’ deaths

Just hours after police discovered a pair of half brothers, ages 10 and 13, stabbed to death in their home, officers arrested the 10-year-old boy’s father. This brutal stabbing shocked neighbors and shook up two schools.

This story affected me more than any other I’ve had to cover. When the story printed, I was disappointed in the placement on the page because I felt it wasn’t played high enough, considering the gravity of the crime. Unfortunately, as you can see from the front page, we had a busy news day with plenty of heart-heavy news.
